Should possess strong commercial awareness and ability to deal with the whole financial and programmed planning elements of the project Facilitating the flow of information between the Design Team and Construction Team Supporting Communication between the Design Team and Sub-Contractors Implementation of Daily and Weekly Programmes together with the issue of programme details to sub-contractors   Requirements: The ideal candidates will be degree qualified Must have good IT skills and CAD would be an advantage Knowledge of Safety & Health & Quality Policies Minimum of 5 years practical experience managing construction sites within main contractor Strong written and verbal communication skills

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established company, reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager, the successful candidate will support the organisation in driving their safety culture forward.   Responsibilities:   Support the site management team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective Health Safety & Training policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the business objectives are met. Provide support to the Management and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety, Training / Development and on occasion environmental issues. Support the HR Manager in ensuring Health & Safety compliance and perform regular Health and Safety audits Assist with developing Health and Safety plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as Internal and external stakeholders requirements Ensure training, tool box meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the company’s training and Health & Safety and HR program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc. Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit preventative measure initiatives for implementation Manage Safety Statistic reporting within and benchmark performance with relative other industries. This is a genuine opportunity to join a market leading company in Ireland with the chance to become a key member of their management team.   As a Quantity Surveyor, you will: Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required and labour involved Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involves liaising with architects, engineers and subcontractors. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors. Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure. Monitor and keep track of project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the final account. Work as part of a team to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered.
