Vacancy: Mechanical and Electrical Site Supervisor - Residential Developer Location:  Dublin Salary: €55K + package   3D Personnel’s client is the premier housebuilding company in Ireland. 3D Personnel’s client has a unique opportunity for a high calibre M&E Site Supervisor reporting to the Senior M&E Coordinator, you will assist in the oversight of the Mechanical and Electrical services design and installation across each of our residential projects.   Key responsibilities Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties: Continuous management and monitoring of the installation quality for M&E systems over various residential projects, during the various stages of the build process Implementation and further development of M&E quality systems being incorporated Supervision of M&E sub-contractors onsite, ensuring quality expectations are achieved and monitoring programme in conjunction with the site teams Support the site construction management teams in the coordination of on-site M&E installations and assist with onsite problem solving if and when issues arise, involving coordination with project design teams as required Liaise with Public Utility providers and local authorities to ensure timely delivery of electricity, gas, water and telecommunications services to new developments. Anticipate the requirement for modification of existing site services and manage mains service diversions in conjunction with the Utility Providers and site teams Supplement the company’s innovation process in consideration and implementation of best-in-class mechanical / electrical systems and products. The candidate – key requirements Mechanical OR Electrical Trade background preferable with appropriate certification.  Exposure to both is essential. 5+ years post qualification experience in similar role. A desire to continuously improve installation quality and procedures. Further education in M&E Engineering a plus but not essential. Team player, organised, self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative. Strong relationship builder and communicator. Focus on deadlines and commitment to programme delivery. Willingness to travel between sites and a full driving licence.

Vacancy: Junior Quantity Surveyor (Site Based) Location:  County Kildare Salary: Neg. Depending on experience   3D Personnel’s client is a tier 1 housebuilding company in Ireland. 3D Personnel’s client has a unique opportunity for a high calibre Jr Quantity Surveyors, to assist in the provision of quantity surveying services for post-contract duties on a fast moving large residential development under construction. This role reports to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, and is site based. We require a motivated team player who is keen to learn, has a commercial acumen, and enjoys contributing to the successful delivery of projects.   With multiple projects scheduled to commence in the Leinster area they will offer ambitious team members the opportunity to assume new challenges and increase their scope of responsibilities.   Key responsibilities   Typically the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties: Assisting the Senior QS to manage subcontract packages and overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and consultants along with normal QS duties. Experience of RC frame / apartment and residential building / commercial projects ideal, but not essential Assisting the Senior QS to assist with the preparation of monthly internal valuations and monthly cost reports Reporting on budgets and variations. Maintaining subcontractor and supplier contractual details Tasks will be allocated to reflect increasing levels of development and experience. They are seeking to recruit an experienced Site Manager that has undertaken mixed use developments. The project in question consists of commercial and residential units in central Dublin. There will be over 200 apartments constructed and over 70,000 square meters of commercial space including hotels roof gardens and underground carparks. The successful Site manager will be degree qualified or time served background and will have worked on large mixed use projects within main contractors / developers working consecutively for at least 5 yrs.   Duties to include: Liaising with Project Manager : day to day operations Design Team and Client : co-ordination of project activities Services Co-ordinator : services Sub-contractors co-ordination Senior Engineer : engineering details and design Purchasing Manager : material and plant requisitioning Foreman : Control of labour, plant and equipment on site Senior Quantity Surveyor : cost issues and compiling the Variation Log and monitoring variations Quality & Environmental : maintaining site records in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements Managing Sub-contractors, engineering and operational staff and personnel on site and supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project to a superior quality completed on time, within budget and implemented within the required safety, environmental and quality parameters.
