Vacancy: Health and Safety Officer Location: Co. Louth Salary: €50K - €55K  + package   3D Personnel’s client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join the team on a project in county Louth. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the Health & Safety Officer will be responsible for the efficient management of their prescribed work area and will fulfil the duties of the office in accordance with 3D Personnel client's Health and Safety Management System.   Responsibilities: Be familiar with all aspects of the role of a Safety Officer on site including supervision of sub-contractors & completion of the relevant paperwork Conducting regular site audits and carrying out inspections to ensure safe operating procedures are adhered  Carry out accident, incident investigations and root cause analysis studies. Ensuring sub-contractor safety statements and required Method statement are available on site and assess sub-contractor statements and method statements, assisting where required. Supervise and manage safety and environmental documentation to support the Company’s integrated safety management system. Contribute to accident and incident investigation. Contribute to the Tool Box talk topics, discussion and delivery Delivering Health & Safety induction programmes for personnel working on site. Representation at site meetings as may be required.   Requirements: Hold a recognised H&S qualification  Minimum of 3/4 years’ experience as Health & Safety Officer Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent planning, organisational, teamwork and presentation skills Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Flexibility in line with business requirements Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times

The successful candidate will have worked for main contractors/subcontractor or developers for 1 - 3 years across Ireland/UK.  This is a great opportunity for a highly ambitious individual that wishes to work for one of Ireland’s most progressive companies.   Your duties as: Assist Senior Site Manager in overseeing operations on a day-to-day basis Ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards Monitor progress, oversee delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and sort out any problems which could hold up work as they arise Keep in close contact with members of their site team at all times Liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors and planner Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations Manage, monitor and interpret the design documents supplied by the client or architect Attend regular meetings to keep others informed of progress; prepare progress reports Plan and efficiently organising plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines Ensure that work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements Keep the client updated regularly on progress Act as point of contact for members of the public and sub-contractors Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties or problems as they arise   Requirements: Degree/Higher Diploma/HETAC Level 8 Engineering or equivalent 1 - 3 years’ post-qualification experience as Engineer Background in residential developments desirable A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks/projects Accuracy, attentive to detail, and a methodical nature are key The ability to lead, use initiative and be self-motivated Good organisation & time management skills are essential Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation is needed
