Seeking interest for an experienced Project Manager (ideally with residential housing and / or Social Housing experience) ideally with solid Main Contractor or Property Developer experience to join one of Ireland’s Main Contractors within their Housing division based in Dublin. As a specialist Residential/Housing Project Manager you will gain exposure to prestigious projects across the state in-excess of €15 million each respectively.

The Candidate who will Project Manage a large-scale multi-contract Social housing scheme (2/3 story Houses 4 Story Apartments) with single point responsibility for project out-turn, from foundations through Construction and Handover. The role provides leadership to the project construction team to ensure works are carried out to the required quality, Health & Safety and environmental standards, and in full compliance with the Planning Permission.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

Typically the Project Manager (Residential / Building Experience) will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:

  • Project Management of large-scale multi-contract residential / building developments reporting to a Contracts Manager / Operations Director
  • Single point responsibility for project out-turn from pre-construction stage through construction and handover
  • Provide leadership to the project construction team to ensure works are carried out to the required quality, Health & Safety and environmental standards, in full compliance with the works requirements
  • Management of the Project Budget and Contract Administration in conjunction with the Project Quantity Surveyor; Management of the Project Programme
  • Implementation of best practice in project controls, performance management and Project Reporting
  • The person will be fully proficient in managing various sub-contractors including, foundation level, builders, M&E individuals, fit out and joiners etc.
  • Competent working from the ground up on commercial, healthcare and retail projects.
  • Liaising with a range of Built Environment professionals i.e. Designers, Engineers, Architects etc.
  • Designing the construction programme to maximise efficiency and ensure completion is in accordance with the schedule
  • Responsible for all document control as an integral part of the project control
  • Site Management responsibilities for all Health and Safety policies and procedure.
  • Responsible for the overall management and day to day running on site activity
  • Ordering and storing materials correctly.
  • Site Management of Sub – Contractors/ managing staff/ dealing with any issues as and when required
  • Delivery of project on time and to a high specification.
  • Fully proficient in managing various sub-contractors including, foundation level, builders, M&E individuals, fit out and joiners etc.

Potential Requirements:

  • Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
  • Ideally the Project Manager will possess 10+ years’ post-qualification experience with a recognised property developer / construction company ideally within Ireland although other experience will be considered
  • Background in residential or commercial construction in-excess of €10 million
  • Experience in Social Housing Developments and Building contracts will be advantageous
  • Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets

This is possible because of their exceptional people and the continuing investment in them and their journeys with the company.   Our client is seeking interest for an experienced Site Engineer to join their live project based in Mayo.  The project includes a road scheme improvement, cut and fill sections along with some structures.  The project duration is 12-15 months, however, this is a permanent role. The Engineer will require road experience with full capabilities using GPS/Total station along with measurement analysis for quantities etc.  The role of Site Engineer will involve the following tasks.  Responsibilities & Duties: Experienced in road and structures (Bridges/Culverts) construction Proficient in GPS and surveying equipment Competent in completing cut/fill balance and compiling data for the commercial team Operational and commercial focus: Client interface; commercial acumen; HSEQT; programme and labour management Familiar working under public forms of contracts Construction or Engineering-related qualification preferred Engaging, collaborative and energetic Confident and effective problem solver Benefits/Details: - 47.5-hour week.
