Job Description

Facade Designers, Curtain Wall Designers and CAD Detailers

Opportunities exist with several clients around Ireland, but particularly in Dublin and Meath, for CAD detailers with Architectural Glazing & Facades experience, Curtain Wall Designers & Facade Coordinators.

• Associate degree in Architecture, Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred but not essential.
• 1 to 2+ years of extensive experience in the design and detailing of facades and/or curtain wall/cladding systems.
• Able to interpret architectural and structural intent from contract documents.
• Able to read and understand shop drawings in order to draw fabrication drawings.
• AutoCAD 2D proficiency a necessity - Revit or other 3D CAD software proficiency an advantage.

Note:

General architectural drawing experience eg. floor plans, whole building layouts, surveying schematics, etc. will not be sufficient for this role. We need applicants to have extremely detailed drawing experience with glazing and aluminium facades eg. nuts, bolts, tolerance levels, etc. or the equivalent detailed knowledge of cladding systems.

With the exception of Cladding, most of these roles are for aluminium and glazing façade specialists. Applicants with experience in other disciplines of architectural drawing, regardless of how extensive the experience is, will most likely not be considered for the roles advertised here, unless this experience includes detailed knowledge of aluminium and glass facades.
