Job Description

Vacancy: Accounts Clerk

Location: Cork

Salary: €35K - €45K DOE

3D Personnel’s client is currently seeking an experienced account clerk to keep records and reconcile accounts. The qualified candidate will have strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in basic accounting functions and software programs.  Our client is looking for a team player with a keen interest in building successful relationships with clients.  Showing a willingness to learn and the ability to adapt are essential. 

Duties:

  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, and accounts payable).
  • Performing credit checks on potential new clients and partners
  • Entering data into computer system using defined computer programs
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports
  • Reconciling records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers
  • Investigates questionable data
  • Practise effective customer relationship techniques

Qualifications:

  • HNC or above in Accounting or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree desirable
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Quick Books
  • Excellent communications skills
